About Tempagenix
Tempagenix was founded by two friends and colleagues, Shelly Heller and April Pollock, when they saw a need for a low cost, disposable and sustainable forehead thermometer for the consumer market. With the support of their WBENC contacts, the duo took a chance on launching the new start-up in 2016 and is now distributed at national retailers.
Tempagenix received the Dayton Business Journal 2021 Woman-Owned Business of the Year award, a Commendation from the State of Ohio in 2022, the Top Innovative Product Award from The Kroger Corporation in 2019, and the Eastway Corporation Community Partner Award in 2020. Our product is assembled through Meaningful Employment by Adults with Developmental Disabilities and People in Recovery.
